The first phase of ‘Imagined Land’ was a phenomenal success; a Heritage Lottery funded community project that I set up and managed with the Norfolk Archaeological Trust. In 2017 it focussed on the important historical site of the Tasburgh Enclosure. In 2018 we concentrated our efforts at Burnham Norton Friary.
This offered opportunities for the people of the villages and children of both schools to help us research the archive, dig for archaeological evidence and in partnership with Writers Centre Norwich and other participatory artists, to develop a range creative activities in response to what we find.
The whole thing culminated in a community-created Through The Ages Pageant and Lantern Procession. You can find out more about the project here
“ … after the culmination of many months hard work from yourselves and residents in the community it was truly amazing to see the amount of people who turned out … a thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all. A true success and one that I am sure will be talked about in Tasburgh for some time to come
